HANG MAN
╜ Sean Copland
November '88
Atari ST
To play Hang Man, Double click on the
HANGMAN.PRG file.
When the screen comes up, a popular
song title from the 50's, 60's, 70's,
or 80's will be displayed in the
bottom box in the familiar line and
dashes Hang Man format.
To choose a letter, just click on the
approprate letter in the alphabet box.
If you have already had that letter as
a guess then the computer will ignore
it. Any correct guesses will be
displayed in their corresponding
positions, in the bottom box. Any
incorrect guesses will be displayed in
the wrong guesses box, and a piece of
the Hang Man will be displayed. You are
only allowed 8 wrong guesses.
More song titles can be added (Hang
man currently has 463 in memory), all
you have to do is edit the HANGMAN.DAT
file, with a text editor. This enables
you to delete songs, change everything
i.e to countrys, proverbs, or words.
or add more songs (up to 3000).
N.B - Don't enter a song/sentence with
more than 35 characters, only use
capital letters (no punctuation), and
press return after every entry.
Thanks go to Kim Ogden and Nigel Liles
for their help with the song titles.
However I feel it only fair to point
out that any inaccuracies, or spelling
mistakes, are entirely their fault.
